AVIOR began its operations by the year 1994 with a little Cessna (C-337) aircraft. After that Avior include an Aerocomander (AC-500-S) aircraft, in order to offer corporative transport to oil companies and tourist operators of the oriental country zone.

At the beggining of 1995 Avior bought two Dornier (DO-28) aircrafts, and by the January of 1997, Avior had nine aircrafts of the same model. With those equipments they transported a great amount of passengers, that consolidate the company and project it towards the future.

In order to assure the success reached in so short time, AVIOR seted out to improve their services, buying new Beechcraft 1900D and Cessna Caravan 208 equipments, which compete in comfort with a private airplane and in speed with any type of jet of the national market.

Making honor to its slogan "Un Viaje de Diferencias", AVIOR outline the goal of being the first aerial line in acquiring newest technology in Venezuela, contracting the services of software suppliers, specialized in the aerial commercial area.

In this way was created a telecomunication structure of vanguard, allowing all stations at airports and Avior commercial offices in Venezuela, will be communicated via "frame relay", with the possibility to interchange voice and data.

By May of 1999, Avior inaugurated the Center of the most modern Reservation Systems in Venezuela, named Open Skies. Between its benefits are:

  • The implementation of the e-ticket, that it makes agile the control of passengers in the stations.
  • The reservation and bought of the e-ticket on-line, accessing to the website www.aviorairlines.com.
Also acquired the latest generation software to optimize the airline operations, since itineraries making, on-line fleet control, until planning, controlling, evaluation and trainning of company crews.

Between its most important acquisitions is the EAGLE program, that get climate satelital information and aircraft reports to make an analisis in order to optimize the flight plan, inside the saving fuel and diminution flight time parameters.

The Maintenance Avior Department is operating with a modern software that allow them have the control of pieces in each airplane, displaying information one month before about the replacement of any piece. Also, it controls the spare parts and tools inventory, and maintain updated the suppliers database, process purchase orders and working orders, evaluating repair costs to obtain greater yield.

Actually, Avior is the first airline to implement the Integral Administrative Process System in Venezuela. This system combine the automatic process of the company to the administratives, maintaining a better control over all operations. Also, it gives finantial information on-line to the right-time taking decisions.

The Avior passenger target are businessman fundamentally, who feels the necesity to travel from Caracas (capital of Venezuela) to other cities with highest oil developments like San Tomé, Barcelona and Maracaibo; with cattle dealer developments like Barinas and San Fernando; with manufacturing developments like Puerto Ordaz and Maracay; and commercial cities. Also, contributes with the tourism in Venezuela, industry with speedy growing in our country; being the unique airline with air bridges between the most important country cities like: Caracas-Mérida, Caracas-San Tomé, Caracas-Barquisimeto, Caracas-Coro, Caracas-Valera, Caracas-Barcelona y Barcelona-Porlamar.

Taking note that Avior has airplanes of 12, 19 y 30 seats, has transported an average of 64,000 passengers by month. Actually, Avior Airlines offer to its passengers 03 Boeing 737-200 Advanced aircrafts, with 111 passengers capacity wich flies to most important routes in Venezuela.

The company is constituted under venezuelan laws, with 100% private capital. The main office is in Barcelona city, Anzoátegui state, in the venezuelan oriental zone. It is directed for one President, and one Executive Vice-President; endorsed by a Directors Board constituted by the following Vice-Presidencies:
  • Operations and Maintenance.
  • Administration and Human Resources.
  • Finances, Trade and Sales.
